My car got towed today. I was parked in a reserved parking spot for my dad's restaurant and his staff accidentaly got my car towed. However!!! I think that if people used basic common sense, they'd have noticed that I had a tag that my dad had given me for parking there but no, they didn't use common sense and they cost themselves $98 which could have been avoided had they paid attention. Sucks for them. It was a relatively painless process though retrieving my car..you show up, give them your plate number, pay and off you go. Ive only had my car towed once before at UBC but that was because I didn't pay for parking and I have outstanding parking tickets. Parking tickets are the bane of my existence. I ALWAYS get parking tickets, even when I pay for parking. The meter usually eats up my money or ill miss getting to my car by like 20 seconds. Its annoying. I wonder if that reality show on tv "Parking Wars" exaggerates or do people really freak out? Ive never run into the parking authority before...I think if I did i'd beg and plead and try to bat my eyelashes but knowing my luck, it would be to no avail.
